When I first took it out of the package, I was surprised because it didn't feel how I expected - it has a roughness to it that surprised me but now that I'm wearing it, I really like it. I've had cardigans before that are really smooth and fuzzy and they always flake off little pieces everywhere, so I was glad to find this one doesn't do that. The slight roughness I think also helps it stay on my body - I am a very small person (5 feet tall) and I find sometimes long cardigans just slide off my shoulders all day, but I was glad this one didn't do that. It's also nice and stretchy so I can wrap it around my body like a blanket, which I love to do with cardigans.
In terms of fit, I think it fits really well. Again, I'm 5 feet tall, so the sleeves are slightly long (come to the middle of my palm) and the pockets are a teeny bit too low for my hands to reach without bending, but that's something I'm used to. I wouldn't have wanted to size down in this item anyway, since it fits well everywhere else, and I like that oversized feel. Honestly, I have trouble sometimes finding oversized clothes that still keep my shape and don't make me look like a blob, as a plus size woman who's also 5 feet tall, and I have come to count on Davy Piper for good sizing in that way, and this cardigan is no different. It's oversized but not too big, a key difference I think some brands don't understand. It still fits well, while giving the oversized, flowy feel. The color is great and goes with most of my neutral/solid color wardrobe. I like how the knitted pattern slightly changes across the cardigan which makes it look interesting and unique.
